Denim Washes with the Classification (Series 1)

If you ask people from sort of groups their preferred form of bottoms, 95% of people will choose Denim for their outfit. It’s not because jeans are kind of comfortable in nature but they are the pair of bottoms you can depend for any occasion. Your dream of creating Different outfits with one pair of the bottom is possible if you select jeans as jeans can go with any of the upper wear whether it is a shirt, t-shirt, jacket. 

Denim jeans have distinct numbers of designs depends on their shades. The cause of these shades is the different sort of denim Washes. Separate Wash gives a separate finish to denim’s fabric. In this Blog, we are demystifying kinds of denim Washes like Acid Wash, Rinse Wash, mid-Wash, light Wash.

 

Acid Wash

Based on its name, you may assume that Acid Wash means Washing Jeans with the Acid method, But it’s not the process. Acid Wash is also named as Marble/ Moon or Snow Wash. The contemporary process of Acid Washing was licensed in Italy by the Rifle jeans company in February 1986. Based on its name, you may assume that Acid Wash means Washing Jeans with the Acid method, But it’s not the process. In Acid Wash, Denim is Washed with Pumice stone and Chlorine until it becomes white. By this method, Jeans will get Lighter and beached color than regular Denim. Acid Wash is generally marked as lighter jeans but they are not fully light but somewhere color is of Darker shades which give them a distinct look. It is difficult to identify whether the jeans have used an Acid Wash or StoneWash Because they both have similar outcomes.

 

Rinse Wash / Dark Wash

It refers to the normal Washing of Denim Garment. Typically named, This Wash is only used to make the Denim wearable. During the Development of Denim Fabric, Starch is applied to strengthen the Fabric. These chemicals are too harsh for the skin. During Rinse Wash, some softening agents are applied to the fabric which makes it soft and comfortable for the skin. Sometimes Potassium Permanganate is used on a blasted area with a spray gun or a paintbrush. This is commonly used where the fading effect is desired to high intensity. The common steps used in this Wash is Desizing, Soap Rinsing, Softener Application.

 

Mid Wash

Mid Wash Denim is a shade lighter than dark Wash denim, which means it’s been Washed and dried more times. Medium Wash Denim is more casual, so you’re able to pair it with a wider variety of colors and textures. Mid Wash has gone under more Process to remove indigo dye color so it can adopt a Sassy look. With this Wash, Jeans get Mid blue color. Mid Wash also made fabric softener than raw denim. On cooler days, Combine some skinny medium Wash jeans with a knit sweater for added texture. Tuck any top into high waisted jeans and pair with booties for a cute and casual daytime outfit.

 

Light Wash

Light wash denim is two shades lighter as compared to medium wash denim, or two to three washes away from bleached denim. Light Wash has gone through more washing process than Mid Wash Denim. Nothing is as voguish as a good pair of Light wash denim because it’s perfect for your summer closet. It’s also great to go with any outfit.
