Jeans Trend to try this Winter

Posted on December 24, 2019December 24, 2019 by Verna Bradford

Boots and jackets are of the highest shopping importance once the first frost occurs. It is therefore only normal for you to disregard the need for new concepts such as denim. But this season of the year requires more densely constructed materials as well as cuts that will work well with your winter shoes and lots of shitty knits. And who can better tell the winter denim trends than the insiders who wear them because nobody knows better than the stars who wear them. You might have already noticed the transition in your Instagram feed, but many of them share that they swap fine jeans for other silhouettes. Although you don’t want to leave styles as a workhorse for weeks, you may want to explore a few recent trends, such as funky leg shapes or paper bag waists, as well. Luckily, when assessing Denim styles, the following five women can be your most valuable asset. You are now able to cut through the noise (and there are a lot) and get to the best jeans on the market, so take a look at the trends below.

The role of Caroline Maguire goes hand in hand as Shopbop’s director of design, knowing what’s next. She explains to Denim Fever: “There are so many denim patterns I’m loving right now, but I’m actually obsessed with high-waisted, straight-legged, paper bag, and black acid wash jeans,” Maguire was just another nudge to take out her dim jeans by the emergence of roomier denim. She says, “I never liked skinny jeans. I prefer the retro-style ‘ 90s. “The thought of tucking bulky denim knit and stitching it into a belt is my pleasure.” I would add a blazer over the neck, slow over the knee boots for extra layering.

She relies on elegant, dark denim to make it look off-duty, but Lisa Folawiyo’ s eponymous label boasts bold prints and colors. “The last few pairs I’ve bought have been deep blue washes or black, both straight cut and high-wasted,” she says. The next year, the Denim-Fever list includes revised retro silhouettes. “I wear them with everything… cropped tops, chunky knits, lightweight hoodies, and leather biker jackets.” “I’m on the lookout for a great stone-washed, high-waisted pair á la Isabel Marant and gray straight-leg jeans[ like those from] Balenciaga or Saint Laurent.”

“We have seen tons of skinny jeans and ruined trends over the past years and this season it’s time for something new,” said MyTheresa’s (and real street style queen, fashion buying director Tiffany Hsu). “I love to play, so I am definitely going for some of the current trends and shapes[ like] high-waisted, correct hips, and belted designs,” Hsu advises to keep the rest of your looks easy in order to balance bolder silhouettes. “I’d just wear it with a simple top tucked in or a sweater with a lovely belt.”

Influencer Kellie Brown returns this season to basic items and antique shopping. The founding blog And Get Dressed explains: “I’ve avoided denim because plus denim is all about the skinny jeans, which I haven’t ever been inspired by,” “So when I can find it, it’s retro… organized, so broken in.” Brown favors simple denim with untapered ankles in medium to dark washes. “I’m currently feeling a major shift in my style and have been envisioning myself as a preppy’ 80s teen villain like James Spader in Pretty in Pink or the cast of Heathers but with new twists that make it ironic,” she says.
