Why it is Called Coated Denim
Coated denim is your basic black denim jeans that are covered with pigment to give it a wax-like finish. The pigment is typically painted or applied by the machine and during wear does not affect the skin. Just like regular denim, covered denim is produced after often worn to wear and fade in locations. Although a number of washes will be needed to get rid of the coated finish.

Waxed denim jeans didn’t tickle your fancy because Denim Dudes would prefer to wear a couple of Jeans. When I attempt to layer a coat over the vest, the friction that the fabric produces is hectic.
